Funder Collaboratives

Grantmakers come together to learn, build relationships, and to act collectively. These are funds where Philanthropy Massachusetts plays an active role.

  • Massachusetts Early Childhood Funder Collaborative
Fiscally sponsored at Philanthropy Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Early Childhood Funder Collaborative (MA ECFC) is a new partnership effort working to ensure that all young children in Massachusetts have the opportunities and supports they need to thrive. This group of public and private foundation and individual funders has come together with the intention of serving as a vehicle to strengthen the community of early childhood funders and to drive policy and systems change by catalyzing a unified early childhood strategy. For more information on the MA ECFC, please contact info@maecfunders.org.

  • Massachusetts Community Foundation Partnership
A collaborative of 14 Community Foundations throughout Massachusetts, partnering with nonprofit organizations to strengthen their missions, programs and capacities to contribute to and provide a leadership voice toward stabilizing, re-envisioning and rebuilding the nonprofit sector; connecting and strengthening community foundations for greater impact; and working together to deepen impact and lead on critical and common issues facing our communities and Massachusetts. This partnership is fiscally sponsored and managed by Philanthropy MA, in partnership with the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network.

  • Summer Fund
Managed and operated at Philanthropy Massachusetts, the Summer Fund is a donor collaborative providing a strategic coordinated
approach to build, strengthen, and sustain a network of high-quality summer camps and programs for disadvantaged and at-risk youth.

  • Massachusetts Census Equity Fund
For the 2010 and 2020 Massachusetts Census, Philanthropy Massachusetts served as the fiscal sponsor and as a partner in the Massachusetts Census Equity Fund, a statewide funding initiative that worked to increase participation in the decennial Census, specifically in communities that were at risk of being undercounted. The Fund provided grants for grassroots organizations working toward creating an accurate and fair count, as well as a learning community for partners.
