Our September meeting builds off our last meeting where we exchanged information about our applications, reporting, and grant types. This meeting will focus learning on applications and the values that have driven changes to our application processes over the last several years. You will hear from peer funders around changes such as being proactive in seeking grant applicants; the role of relationships in applications; and letters of interest, among others. Importantly, we will interrogate how our values manifest in such elements, successes, challenges, and tradeoffs. We expect this session to help us identify the values we hold as a Network and what that means for potential shared work around applications.
We will reserve the final half hour of the meeting for updates, requests for help, and offers of support.
About the Network:
The Cape Cod and Islands Funders Network exists to deepen our collective impact as funders, especially related to identifying innovative solutions to key needs on the Cape, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. As a Network, we desire to strengthen, adapt, and potentially streamline grantmaking practices with the goal of making grantseeking easier for Nonprofit Organizations (NPOs).
In our time together we expect to learn from our peers and external content providers.
Finally, we hope to strengthen relationships amongst grantmakers across the Cape and the Islands.
