Please join us for the first CFO meeting of the year. This will be a practical, hands-on meeting, introducing you to the “centering vendor diversity” resource list. This list, a work in progress, emerged from our July session on Centering Diversity When Engaging Vendors.

As CFOs and other staff responsible for our organization’s infrastructure, we recognize that diversifying a foundation’s pool of outside vendors and contacts can be a strategic tool to put non-grant dollars to work in expanding diversity equity and inclusive practices.

After the July meeting, a work group formed, made up of Rihab Babiker at the Center for Effective Philanthropy, Jug Chokshi at New England Foundation for the Arts, Sue Fulton the Endowment for Health, and Mark Paley at the Hyams Foundation to draft a template for the resource list. They also conferred with the Network’s REDI work group. At this meeting, work group members will launch the list; provide a chance for you to explore it; and seek your feedback. We want to collectively strengthen this resourc s so that we can use it for its intended purpose: centering diversity when engaging vendors.

We will also dedicate time to catching up and sharing updates.

About the Network:

Philanthropy Massachusetts convenes a CFO Roundtable for CFOs/ Finance Directors and other staff whose primary responsibility is the oversight of financial services for foundations, grantmakers and other philanthropy serving organizations. This peer community offers opportunities for colleagues to connect through informal discussions on topics unique to philanthropy and finance.

Zoom information: Zoom information for the program will be sent out to all registrants one week before AND in the afternoon of the business day before the session is scheduled to take place.  Please reach out to info@philanthropyma.org if you believe you are registered for this program and do not receive the link.

Registration & Program Follow-up Materials: Registration for the program will be closed at 2pm EST on the day before the program is scheduled to take place.  If you register after this point, you will be added to the waitlist and will be able to receive the program recording as well as all follow-up materials from the session.  For fee-based Nonprofit Partner programs, you can request these materials for a discounted rate.  Please note that it may take up to a week to prepare and disseminate those materials to all registrants.
