Fundraising Friday: Federal Grants are Flowing Again with New Terms and Conditions – Learn How to Decipher Them
You’ve probably noticed that
the federal grant spigot is flowing again, with increased Notices of Funding
Opportunity postings on
grants.gov. You may not have noticed that the Terms and
Conditions (T & Cs) that govern each grant award have been updated to
reflect new presidential Executive Orders. When you apply for a federal grant,
accept a grant award, amend your grant award, or seek an extension, you will be
required to comply with updated T & Cs.
Join us and our guest
Karen
Pelto, a Recovery Grant Specialist from the
Berkshire Funding Focus Initiative,
to learn how to find and decipher T & Cs so that you can make informed
decisions about whether to apply and, if you do, how to comply. With a better
understanding T & Cs, understand solicitation documents, prepare effective
applications, and manage your grant award.
Fundraising Fridays are monthly hour-long “coffee talks” facilitated by thought leaders from the social sector. These discussion groups, held at 9:00 am the first Friday of each month, are free and open to any and all nonprofit professionals and volunteers interested in fundraising and development issues (EDs, DDs, development staff, volunteer leaders, consultants, etc.). Participants will come away with a greater understanding of the topic at hand and connections to nonprofit peers who share similar interests and concerns.
