Fundraising Friday: Donor Collaboratives and PhilMA's Summer Fund

Join us to learn about donor collaboratives and how to engage with these unique funding models. Staff of the Summer Fund, a donor collaborative housed at Philanthropy Massachusetts, will share the evolution of this fund, which has provided more than $40 million to summer youth programs in the Greater Boston area since its inception in 1971. They will shed light on some of the motivations and mechanisms of pulling donor resources for maximum impact and lead a discussion on the ongoing relevance of collaborative funding models.

We will also share information on this year's application to the Summer Fund. You can view the criteria here. Though the Letter of Intent is due Friday, February 2, extensions can be granted to attendees.

Fundraising Fridays are monthly hour-long “coffee talks” facilitated by thought leaders from the social sector. These discussion groups, held at 9:00 am the first Friday of each month, are free and open to any and all nonprofit professionals and volunteers interested in fundraising and development issues (EDs, DDs, development staff, volunteer leaders, consultants, etc.). Participants will come away with a greater understanding of the topic at hand and connections to nonprofit peers who share similar interests and concerns.
