MA Arts Funders Network Meeting: Mass Cultural Council 2024 Cultural Asset Inventory

Join Philanthropy Mass from 2-3pm on May 27 for a virtual presentation on the 2024 Cultural Asset Inventory, given by Michael J. Bobbitt, Executive Director of Mass Cultural Council, and staff.

The Cultural Asset Inventory, released in March by Mass Cultural Council , was developed in partnership with Diversity North Group. It provides a wealth of information that will be instrumental in informing future cultural policies, programs, and initiatives. Specifically, it identifies and documents thousands of cultural organizations, programs, and individuals contributing to Massachusetts’ vibrant cultural sector. This data quantifies the size, scope, and the economic impact and needs, of individual creative generators and cultural organizations statewide, and key points have been broken out by county for comparison. This presentation will be followed by a Question & Answer period.

We hope this new data is useful to funders as they consider future investments to support communities and the creative and cultural sector.

Mass Cultural Council is your independent state arts agency, charged with bolstering the Commonwealth’s cultural sector. The Agency’s efforts advance economic vitality, support transformational change, and celebrate, preserve, and inspire creativity across all Massachusetts communities.
