About the Meeting:

Please join the trustees, funders and staff of philanthropies from Massachusetts for a conversation where participants will address questions around where we are now and where we are headed in light of what we have learned over the last 12 months:

• Covid-19 Continues to Affect Communities. What are you doing in 2021?  What priority needs are you supporting?  How are you addressing Racial Inequities and disparities in who COVID is affecting?

• Calls for Racial Justice and Equity Were Lifted Up in our Communities in 2020.  What are you doing in 2021 to further advance this work?  How is this reflected in your grantmaking policies and practices?  How are you embedding this in operational/internal policies and practices (governance, hiring/personnel, investment, vendors, communications, etc.)?

• Grantmaking and Philanthropy Behavior: How has it changed?  What examples can you share?  Are any of these permanent changes?  Increasing funding payouts?  Multi-year grants?  Shifts from Program funding to General Operating?  Changes in applications, reports, site visits?

• Accountability: If we are to establish a set of best practices for the philanthropic sector based on 2020 learnings, to what would you have us aspire?  How do power and equity factor into best practices?

Zoom information will be sent via email in advance of the session.
