Non-Family Member Family Foundation CEOs Meeting: Family Enterprise Coaching

In Nov 2023, we surveyed this group about the topics you were most interested in talking with peers about, and outside speakers you would like to learn from. In this second category, hearing from a “family enterprise coach” ranked very high.

We are pleased to announce that at this meeting we will be joined by two coaches.
  • Debbie Bing, President and Principal at CFAR. In this capacity, Debbie also co-leads the firm’s Family Enterprise and Owner-Led Business practice. Debbie views conflict as a useful starting point for a productive exchange about organizational priorities and performance. She has led negotiation teams in the Middle East and in Eastern Europe, and uses that expertise to help leaders and executive teams in family businesses, entrepreneurial organizations, universities, associations and foundations to build collaborative approaches to their most pressing challenges.
One of your CEO peers who has worked with Debbie will lend their perspective as well.
  • Caren Yanis is principal of Croland Consulting, a philanthropic advisory group that guides families, celebrities, and institutions in building a culture of purpose and legacy. She  is a philanthropy sherpa, helping family foundation staff and families themselves plan a philanthropic journey that brings them together, ensures they have the tools they need, and prepares them for collective success.  She honed her skills running the Oprah Winfrey Foundations and Crowne Family Philanthropies.
Whether you have never heard the term family enterprise coach, or have benefitted from the services of one, we welcome you to join us. Our guests will address questions like: what does coaching mean in this context? What is its value? How can you build a coaching practice within your organization? What are examples of the topics a coach has helped you with? Role clarification. How can coaching help you build successful decision processes?

As always, peer to peer conversation will also be prioritized.
