One Year Later: How H.R. 1's SNAP and Medicaid Policy Changes Are Reverberating Across Mass. Communities
As we surpass one year since the July 2025 passage
of H.R. 1., there continues to be significant and evolving
implications to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Medicaid
that are directly impacting food security rates, healthcare access and economic
security. At the same time, philanthropy is increasingly being called on to
help address emerging gaps. In this two-part series, funders will hear from
expert community leaders in Mass. on the current realities and discuss roles
and opportunities for philanthropy to take action.
