Funders Briefing co-presented by Boston Education Funders, the Summer Fund and Philanthropy Massachusetts
As we look ahead to our second pandemic summer, the need for children and youth to participate in high quality learning and enrichment opportunities has been exacerbated by the hardships of the COVID-19 pandemic, the uneven success of remote instruction, and the impact of isolating from peers, teachers, and communities. The importance of high quality summer programming is highlighted in a new RAND study, released in December, which in part highlights Boston’s efforts.
Despite the uncertainty, Boston’s key stakeholders are forging ahead to figure out how to ensure our young people access to high quality summer programming. On Tuesday, February 9 from 10:30 - noon, join Boston Education Funders, the Summer Fund, and Philanthropy Massachusetts for a conversation with leaders in the summer enrichment and learning space, community-based organizations, and philanthropy. This session will explore the question: What should funders be considering as 2021 unfolds?
