This is a virtual meeting for grantmakers to discuss support for immigrant communities. The meeting will provide the opportunity to hear what peer funders are doing and learn from one another.  Zoom information will be sent in advance of the meeting.

BACKGROUND

Philanthropy MA has developed immigration-focused programs for the sector over the years, including a February 2017 convening that brought together over 90 colleagues to address the shifting political landscape and sweeping policy changes affecting immigrants, refugees and other marginalized communities; a December 2017 briefing on the Greater Boston Immigrant Defense Fund, a public-private partnership and funding collaborative that increased education and access to legal services; and the convening of the Immigrant Inclusion Network in 2019.

The Clowes Fund and Fish Family Foundation, two foundations with a long and generous track record of supporting citizenship, immigration, and refugee causes in Massachusetts and beyond are partners in planning this Zoom meeting.
