Lawyers Clearing House (https://lawyersclearinghouse.org/for-nonprofits/): Connects Massachusetts nonprofits with pro bono lawyers and hosts workshops that are great for newer nonprofits looking for legal guidance or consultations.

Massachusetts Nonprofit Network (http://massnonprofitnet.org/nonprofit-resources/starting-a-nonprofit/): Provides tips and a set of steps for starting a nonprofit as well as a list of resources across the sector from pros.

Harbor Compliance (https://www.harborcompliance.com/information/how-to-start-a-non-profit-organization-in-massachusetts): Provides a Nonprofit Startup Guide with basic steps for starting a nonprofit in Massachusetts.  They also provide an overview of the paperwork, cost and time involved in starting a Massachusetts-based nonprofit.  For a fee, you can have one of their specialists take on the paperwork.

Fiscal Sponsorship: If you are not yet recognized as tax exempt or are not quite ready to take on all the things required to start a 501(c)(3) and would rather outsource some of the back office stuff, you can have your organization fiscally sponsored.  Fiscalsponsordirectory.org (https://fiscalsponsordirectory.org/) explains what a fiscal sponsorship is and contains a national directory of fiscal sponsors.
