The Ogunquit Playhouse has a great opportunity for a Campaign Gift Officer to join our Development team.  As an integral part of the Development team, the Campaign Gift Officer is an externally facing position performing a range of activities designed to enhance the effectiveness and improve the results of Ogunquit Playhouse’s Capital Campaign fundraising efforts, including identifying, developing, and implementing individual donor development strategies in support of the capital campaign. The right individual must be collaborative, conscientious, and results-oriented. This role requires a high energy level with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately and will require the ability to travel as necessary.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with campaign staff to update briefings, profiles, visit and follow-up materials and other communications to support prospect work;
  • Partner with campaign staff to develop written proposals, briefings, collateral, budgets and other related materials needed to deepen prospect engagement for securing campaign gifts
  • Work with campaign staff to leverage Tessitura and other Development systems for tracking and managing prospect/donor pipelines, including solicitation process, deadlines, follow-u and other correspondence;
  • As needed, attend meetings, events, and other activities related to the cultivation and/or stewardship of donors and prospects;
  • Data entry as needed, as well as organizing the prospect management software.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Desired skills and experience:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum two years of professional fundraising experience
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A critical thinker, highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Customer service focus and interpersonal skills. Ability to deal with all levels of individuals.
  • Excellent time and project management skills with an ability to manage multiple high level projects simultaneously.
  • Team player who manages own workload, but can be flexible according to the needs of the team.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sensitivity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Power Point) and database management required; experience in Tessitura Software a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Some evening and weekend work required
  • Interest in musical theater and the arts a plus
