Summary: Reporting to the Dean of the Cathedral, the Cathedral Administrator assists the Dean and Cathedral Staff in the day-to-day and long-range operation and administration of the Cathedral.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
General Office Management: Manage incoming and outgoing mail, telephone coverage, files, space, supplies, congregation record keeping; • Maintain Cathedral commitment dates and prepare materials and reports for administrative meetings, Annual Meetings; • Prepare vouchers for invoice payment; • Process operation income for deposits in fundraising database; • Maintain database of Sunday morning congregation, prepare and distribute directory periodically; • Serve as switchboard relief when needed; • Dispense general information (Cathedral and diocesan), as needed.
Liturgy Preparation/Implementation • Prepare and print bulletins and other materials for all Cathedral services; • Oversee scheduling of Sunday worship servers. Committee Support • Attend meetings and assist with preparation of online meeting links, materials and follow-through for Cathedral Chapter, Finance Committee, Development Committee, staff and others as needed.
Diocesan Support • Prepare, distribute and manage weekly prayers for Diocesan Cycle of Prayer; • Help plan, prepare and implement special diocesan events as they occur, including ordinations, deanery confirmation services and other special services. • Participate in Administrative Team meetings with diocesan staff.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with a minimum of oversight, and take initiative as needed. They must be comfortable juggling/managing several projects concurrently.

Education/Knowledge/Experience Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully an individual must demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite of applications, Squarespace, Constant Contact Newsletter formatting, and Donor Perfect (or similar donor database applications).
