Opportunity: Contract Grant Writer for Strong Women, Strong Girls Boston

Strong Women, Strong Girls Boston seeks an experienced grant writer (both corporate and foundation grants) with strong writing and project management skills to support our team. The contract grant writer will be responsible for writing grants, preparing grant submissions and reports, and project-managing our busy grants calendar. The grant writer will also be responsible for keeping abreast of trends in Boston’s philanthropic landscape, researching new great opportunities and assisting with overall grant strategy.


Start Date/ Timing: May 2022 ongoing, with a 3-month trial period contract before moving to an annual contract, renewable each year.


# Submissions: 5 grant applications / month, on average.    


Grant Amounts: From $2 - $150K, with most requests in the $10K - $25K range.


Staff Support: The contract grant writer will work with the Director of Development and CEO. 


Location: This is a remote position. 


Current Systems: Google Drive / Google Sheets / Google Docs used to manage grant materials and the grant calendar.
