Hoops & Homework is looking for a dynamic Program Director to oversee all programmatic operationsThe Program Director will be responsible for all aspects of childcare including supervision of a diverse workforce at two different locations.Offering a competitive compensation and benefits package.


Job Description 

Staff Management:

Recruit, hire, evaluate and train staff. 

Operations Management:

Assist in financial management of the organization, budgeting, purchasing, and payroll. Develop an appropriate academic curriculum to support the social and emotional needs of each student. Create and implement a robust activity schedule that is consistent with the mission and vision of Hoops & Homework. The Program Director will ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations i.e. EEC, DCF etc. and support the Board of Directors initiatives. The Program Director will have a basic understanding of Individual Education Programs (IEP) and work in collaboration with Framingham Public Schools. 


Community Relations:

Cultivate relationships with schools, local nonprofit agencies, and City and state resources. Generate a volunteer roster. Foster a healthy relationship with parents of the children who access Hoops &Homework.


Support Hoops and Homework Mission:

Assist in identifying fundraising opportunities through grant submissions and/or community activities.

Reports To

Executive Committee




➢ Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or Education
➢ Two to four years of experience working with school age children 5 to 14 years old. 
➢ Available to work 40 hrs./week 
➢ Experience working in multicultural setting 
➢ Experience in developing and implementing enrichment programs.
➢ Excellent communication skills and a background in Non-Profit administration
➢ Fiscal management.
➢ Ability to direct, manage, train and evaluate the performance of staff on an annual basis.
➢ Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
➢ Knowledge of EEC, Vouchers and DCF practices, policies and procedures.
