The Summer Fund is Philanthropy Massachusetts’ oldest and largest donor collaborative. Since its founding in 1971, the Summer Fund has cultivated a trusted network of community partners and evolved alongside them, expanding access to transformative and joyful summer experiences for young people throughout Greater Boston.

Since 1971, The Summer Fund has granted more than $43 million to build and strengthen a network of high-quality camp and summer enrichment programs.
In 2026, the Summer Fund awarded more than $1M in general operating funds, mental health grants, and free camp placements for youth experiencing homelessness.  
In 2026, the Summer Fund supported 59 organizations that made camp possible for more than 12,000 young people.
